Guitarist, composer, songwriter, singer and producer Emre Kula defines his music as rock music.
Having degreed from Avni Akyol High School of Fine Arts and the Jazz Guitar division of the Faculty of Art and Design at Yildiz Technical University, Emre Kula started his professional music career at the beginning of 2000 with his own bands. Taking stage at many important national and international festivals and finishing his 2016 Germany and Switzerland tour with progressive rock band KES, Emre Kula is now getting ready to meet rock fans in Turkey and around the world with his new solo project in 2017.
This album is a summary of his personal journey of rock music and tells the stories of his 20’s and 30’s. Emre Kula started working on these songs which he wrote and performed during the last 10 years and which caught the liking of his audience when he decided that 'It's time to record them'. The production and recording process of this album took approximately 3 years. The reason for this extended creative process lies in the desire to record these sounds that he knew to be right by finding their exact equivalents. Starting in March, the songs of this album will be released successively and chronologically according to the years they were written in, and with release of the last song in May 2017, this journey will be completed until his upcoming works.
Emre Kula will also start a series of solo concerts following the release of this album.
Besides being a member of progressive rock band KES, Emre Kula has taken stage with Can Bonomo since 2010, accompanied Ceza on his album 'Sus Pus' both in studio and on stage and has also produced Sertab Erener's latest album 'Kırık Kalpler Albümü', which was released in 2016. In addition to this, he continues to collaborate as studio musician in various projects and albums since 2000.
His single 'Find the Will’ and the release of his first solo album 'Theory of Change' in May 2017 also constitutes the beginning of a new era in the musical career of Emre Kula.
